For generations the Hillinger estate was cultivated in the area of Jois, but only Leo Hillinger took over the Winery in 1990 it started to evolve as one the best Wineries in the region. Always looking for new challenges in 1997 Leo Hillinger bought twelve hectares of vineyards in the best locations in Rust for hit Blend HILL1.
In May 2004 the newly build ultra-modern winery was opened. He skillfully interwaves the strengths of the Austrian varieties with a smooth international style.
